Who is Frank, your Professional Ableton Live Looping Educator
Hi, I’m Frank from loop Connection, the wildest live looping project of the web.
I used to be a standard music teacher and musician, then I discovered Ableton Live.
Before Ableton Live, I used to play the “music game” the way everybody does: I graduated at school, specialized in jazz, started several bands, and been playing gig after gig hoping to make the jump.
The truth is that the jump never arrived, and that’s because the way music is played today has dramatically changed, and I realized that only after discovering Ableton Live.
Before Ableton Live, I used to spend 80% of the time in anything but playing: I was struggling to find gigs for my bands, trying to fit rehearsals into every member’s schedule, fighting over the genre of songs to be played, and kept believing that, eventually, more gigs would bring us more audience and more recognition – but in the end it was like making one step forward and three back, and the little money I shared with the band was all due to be spent on gas and instruments maintenance.
With Ableton, I realized that the most used tool by DJs and electronic producers in this world could be used also to perform real, live music.
I started again from scratch, but soon I reinvented myself as a one-man band, creating songs, mixing great beats and arranging my live setup for streaming my music on the web.
It was just before the pandemic.
And when everybody was stuck at home looking for music and livestreams on the web, they found me, performing my music on Loop Connection channels.
